Amazon recently released “Alexa Blueprints”, a new way for Alexa owner to create their own personalized Alexa skills, even if you don’t know how to code. The “Blueprint” allows Alexa owners to make their own voice apps, like a trivia game or narrative stories, and other skills with answers they design unique to each user- like “Which is the best place in the world?,” for instance.

Today, more than 20 templates across categories like Fun & Games, At Home, Storyteller, and Learning & Knowledge are available in the new Alexa Skill Blueprints site, a great gift for Alexa users to personalize their voice experiences.

To build your own skill or custom Alexa response, you can visit the website and select a template.

The templates are designed so you can fill in the bits and pieces that make them customized to your needs and demands. There is no technical knowledge is required for this. The templates are even pre-filled and work as is, if you want to try them out before making your own.

After you’ve completed the content, you name it and publish with a click. This makes the response available to all Alexa-enabled devices connected with your own Amazon account. But it’s not available to the public or the Alexa Skills Store.

Alexa Blueprints becomes the first choice of families with Echo devices. Alexa is designed as a home buddy – playing music’s, controlling smart devices, and sharing information like news, weather etc.

Many people are maybe going to just use Blueprints for quick viral fame; Amazon also envisions more practical uses for the custom skills. The Houseguest template —users will find easily accessible information about where to find things in the house, how to use the TV, the Wi-Fi password, or how to lock up the back door— seems tailor-made for Airbnb hosts.

College students could also take the advantage of Blueprints by using the flash cards custom skill while studying.
